In the smoking area at Barcelona Airport, we have installed several elements from the HEBA collection to create a comfortable and functional outdoor space.
The project strategically combines individual seats with integrated planters with rectangular benches arranged in angular, geometric configurations. This approach creates different seating and rest areas within the same space while maintaining a consistent overall aesthetic.
Design that blends into its surroundings
HEBA’s design brings a contemporary and understated aesthetic to the space, while the selected stone-effect grey finish allows the furniture to blend naturally into its surroundings.
Its appearance is reminiscent of natural stone, creating an elegant finish that moves away from the conventional appearance typically associated with polyethylene.
In addition to offering considerable versatility in terms of design and finishes, polyethylene provides a number of important performance benefits:
- Excellent durability and a long service life, even under intensive use.
- Resistance to moisture and corrosion.
- Long-lasting colour, even with continuous exposure to sunlight.

The rectangular modules can be used to create linear compositions of varying lengths, while the curved elements introduce new configuration possibilities.
Combined, they make it possible to create rounded corners, changes in direction and flowing forms that break away from the rigidity of straight lines.
