Custom urban equipment on San Antón Street, Granada – 2025
The City Council of Granada has entrusted Grup Fábregas with the renewal of one of the busiest pedestrian corridors in the city: San Antón Street. This vibrant area, full of shops, terraces, and constant foot traffic, demands solutions capable of integrating smoothly into the daily life of booth residents and visitors.
To meet these needs, custom-designed benches, backless benches, and planters have been manufactured and installed, following the exact specifications of the council. This level of customisation has allowed the furniture to be fully adapted to the space, optimising pedestrian flow, expanding resting areas, and creating a more coherent and comfortable urban landscape for passers-by.
The equipment has been manufactured using WPC slats and painted, treated steel-recycled, durable materials that require no maintenance. These are ideal choices for high-traffic environments with constant exposure to the elements. Their durability ensures excellent performance without additional long-term costs.
The planters, also custom-made, include a metal panel featuring the pomegranate symbol, a distinctive nod that reinforces the local identity of the project. This emblem is illuminated at night, adding a decorative touch that enhances the street’s appearance and improves the perception of the space -without the need for additional electrical installation within the plantes itself.
This tailor-made project combines design, functionality, and sustainability to transform one of Granada’s most emblematic streets into a more accessible, pleasant, and contemporary urban space aligned with today’s needs.
